Throughout an exciting spring baseball season, Catherine captured the incredible joy, frustration, exhilaration, and disappointment of her son and his Little League baseball team. The response to her work was overwhelming from parents and the community and the idea for a non-profit organization was born. the play of a lifetime was founded in the Summer of 2009.
A love of natural light photography, and a desire to capture the candid moments of child athletes are the hallmarks of her work. While appreciative of the work of many professionals that provide traditional team and individual portraits, many parents wish to capture their child “in the moment” and document memories of the games, the plays, the team dynamic, and the special moments between the coach and the player.
the play of a lifetime offers on-location, lifestyle photography for individual althletes and teams. All proceeds are returned to the community in the form of funding to support young athletes and athletic organizations in the Tampa-Bay Area.
